Our Research

Under the CARE project, we are conducting following major research project:

‘Study of the effects of intermittent theta burst stimulation (iTBS), repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) in predominantly negative symptoms and cognitive functioning in person suffering from schizophrenia (> 2 years Duration) in a randomized sham controlled double blind trial’ (2019-2024).

In addition to CARE project, the neuromodulation facility has also engaged in scientific collaboration in following important projects:

  • “Brain Computer Interface for Facilitated Neuroplasticity: Upper Limb Rehabilitation with EMG Triggered Exoskeleton Robotic Device Synchronized with Brain Stimulation” in collaboration with IIT-Delhi & AIIMS Neurology Delhi, (2020 – 2022), funded by Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO).
  • “Clinical research to assess efficacy of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation along with implantation of neurotrophic coated nanoparticle in complete spinal cord injury patients’ in collaboration with Dept of Physiology AIIMS (2020 – 2023), funded by Department of Biotechnology (DBT).
  • ‘Centre for Advance Research & Excellence in -Neuro assistive technologies for stroke recovery’ in collaboration with IIT-Delhi and AIIMS Neurology (2021- 2026), funded by ICMR.
  • “Clinical research to assess efficacy of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation along with implantation of neurotrophic coated nanaoparticles in complete spinal cord injury patients” – [DBT sanctioned project – BT/PR31795/NNT/28/1614/2019 ] [Ethical Approval no. : IEC-283/03.05.2019, RP-60/2019]
